The hand signal!
People from all over the world have begun using the Three Dot Dash hand signal to spread
and the hope of a more peaceful society.
here’s how to do it:
The hand signal is made most often using both hands. The right hand is held flat with the index, middle and ring fingers fully extended, while the thumb locks the pinky to the palm of the right hand. These three extended fingers read as three dots.
The left hand is positioned immediately to the left – level with, but perpendicular to – the right hand. The index finger of the left hand points to the right hand, and the remaining fingers are tucked. The index finger reads as a dash.
A one-handed signal can also be used, though anatomical differences prevent most from forming it. The right hand is held flat, with the index, middle and ring fingers fully extended, and the pinky finger held against the palm. The thumb of the same hand is held perpendicularly to the three fingers (dots) to form a dash.
You can help promote a more peaceful society by using the hand signal and spreading
We’d love to know all the ways you’re using the hand signal to spread peace. Tell us about it!
